Great Meals with a Healthy Twist for the Entire Family

Where it all began!

Since the age of 3, my son has been on the large side of the scale.  Since that time, I have monitored his caloric and fat intake by experimenting with low fat ingredients.   With a passion for cooking and a fear for my son’s health, I have found new and creative ways to prepare delicious low fat meals for our family.

The recipes that I share have been through quality control tastings from family and friends.  Their opinions decide whether a recipe is published and only the best make it.  Sometimes I take existing recipes and modify them and other times, the recipes are original.

Thankfully my son has been on the weight chart for his height and age for over a year.  I look forward to watching him play and grow as a healthy active boy.

I invite you to join me and hope that you find my recipes delicious and satisfying.

Welcome and let’s get cooking!

  3. Dina! I love your web-site! I love good food but it must be light and relatively easy to cook otherwise I found myself not using the recipe.
I love how you took action and transform your and your son experience into something new, healthy and fun! You got me all excited about food!

  4. Hey, we met last night at the PNC. Just checking out your site. I was thinking about your parfait idea with the strawberry and cookie crumble. Maybe do something with some kind of orange mousse, kind of like a yogurt whip with a chocolate cookie crumble topped with the glazed strawberries. Garnish with some mint and maybe flavor the strawberry glaze with some Grand Marnier to spruce it up. I know you were thinking of a Key Lime idea, but I just don’t see it working with the chocolate. It was very nice to meet you and your husband.

    • Thanks! It was great meeting you and Jen too. I hope it all worked out yesterday for you guys. Thank you for the suggestions, I like the orange mousse/strawberry idea and will play with that. The only reason I was trying to work with limes is that my Mom bought about 100 of them & wanted to use them before they go bad. Keep in touch, I love new ideas.
